The two-year degree programme "Joint Master in Applied Geophysics" has been offered at RWTH Aachen University in cooperation with ETH Zürich and TU Delft since 2006. A steadily increasing number of students from 6 in 2006 to 42 in 2015 and good career prospects underline the successful concept of this degree programme. The combination of complementary specialisations in geophysics from three of Europe's leading research and technology institutions enables a comprehensive education in the field of applied geophysics at the highest level. The English-language Master's programme not only includes highly qualified teaching, but the students learn and work in an international group and experience three different, culturally rich and exciting cities in the heart of Europe during their studies.

The targeted combination of compulsory and elective modules enables students to help shape their individual education and to be optimally prepared for the international labour market for applied geophysics, be it exploration of recourses or environmental geophysics.
